Hey guys! How are you doing? I'm extremely sorry that I haven't posted much or talked to any of you as frequent as before; but I've been going through a MAJOR art block. Actually,  I haven't drawn anything other than requests in 2011, and I still had some inspiration trouble with them. Everything I made it just seemed like crap to me. And eventually, I stopped drawing and I didn't feel like logging in at deviantART every day.

BUT, I've been attending to my pre-college classes and I'm kind of gained a bit of motivation. I won't guarantee you anything, but I may be around here a little bit more.
By the way, I liked my college classes so far. My classmates are really nice! I just started talking to them today (yes, it took me TWO days), and we're all beginning to bond with each other as a group. Oh, and there was a guy with a cute 2006 Annecy T-Shirt!!! Anyway, I've already attended Engraving, Drawing, and Painting. The Restoration talk is this Friday.
I really wanted to thank to everyone who supported my nervous-anxious-freaky self these past weeks (*coughkensiecough*). It means the world to me, seriously. It's impossible to have better friends :)

... aaaaand that's it, I think. Take care!

P.S.: I'm starting classes on March 12th.

I'm so sorry for not being active lately... I've had quite of a hectic year and some other priorities have surfaced besides from art -but this doesn't mean that it's not as important! So yeah, I'm sorry.
Plus, deviantART is not what it was used to be anymore. I just have more fun at other websites. But dA will always be my first home, so I can't avoid coming and checking in here from time to time. I won't leave, at least not for now.

... And. I'm having a major art block, the biggest I've ever had. I haven't drawn much around since June, so... Anyway, I'll upload some drawing requests I made for the wonderful ~aerostarmonk that I owe him for like four months and just finished :) Hope you like 'em! And with the holidays approaching, I think I'll get some artwork finished somehow.
Love you all!

The wonderful *Awkwardly-Social has set up a list of commissions to raise money for the people in Australia. And I'm happy to be a part of that list. If you want to collaborate by either buying a commission or joining the artist list, please take a look at her journal [link] Any help is appreciated!

Our Entries

1.

" 'Then must I leave my own people, man of Gondor?' [Eowyn] said. 'And would you have your proud folk say of you: "There goes a lord who tamed a wild shieldmaiden of the North! Was there no other woman of the race of Numenor to choose?"
'I would,' said Faramir. And he took her in his arms and kissed her under the sunlit sky, and he cared not that they stood high upon the walls in the sight of many."

-The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Book VI, Chapter V 'The Steward and the King'

2.

"Mourn not overmuch! Mighty was the fallen,
meet was his ending. When his mound is raised,
women then shall weep. War now calls us!"

- Éomer on the death of Théoden. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Book V, Chapter VI 'The Battle of the Pelennor Fields'

3.

"Young she was and yet not so. The braids of her dark hair were touched by no frost, her white arms and clear face were flawless and smooth, and the light of stars was in her bright eyes, grey as a cloudless night; yet queenly she looked, and thought and knowledge were in her glance, as of one who has known many things that the years bring."

- Frodo sees Arwen for the first time. The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Book II, Chapter I 'Many Meetings'

4.

"He deserves death."
"Deserves it! I daresay he does. Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement. For even the very wise cannot see all ends. I have not much hope that Gollum can be cured before he dies, but there is a chance of it. And he is bound up with the fate of the Ring. My heart tells me that he has some part to play yet, or good or Ill, before the end; and when that comes, the pity of Bilbo may rule the fate of many - yours not least."

- The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, Book IV, Chapter I 'The Taming of Sméagol'

5.

- The Lord of the Ring: The Return of the King, Appendices: Annals of the Kings and Rulers, Númenorean Kings, Chapter V 'Here Follows a Part of the Tale of Aragorn and Arwen'

6.

" 'It reminds me of Númenor,' said Faramir, and wonder to hear himself speak.
'Of Númenor?" said Éowyn.

'Yes,' said Faramir, 'of the land of Westernesse that foundered, and of the great dark wave climbing over the green lands and above the hills, and coming on, darkness unescapable. I often dream of it.'

'Then you think that the Darkness is coming?' said Éowyn. 'Darkness Unescapable?' And suddenly she drew close to him.

'No,' said Faramir, looking into her face. 'It was but a picture in my mind. I do not know what is happening. The reason of my waking mind tells me that great evil has befallen and we stand at the end of days. But my heart says nay; and all my limbs are light, and a hope and joy are come to me that no reason can deny. Éowyn, Éowyn, White Lady of Rohan, in this hour I do not believe that any darkness will endure!' And he stopped and kissed her brow.

And so they stood on the walls of the City of Gondor, and a great wind rose and blew, and their hair, raven and golden, streamed out mingling in the air"

- The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Book VI, Chapter V 'The Steward and the King'

7.

"And now at last it comes. You will give me the Ring freely! In place of the Dark Lord you will set up a Queen. And I shall not be dark, but beautiful and terrible as the Morning and the Night! Fair as the Sea and the Sun and the Snow upon the Mountain! Dreadful as the Storm and the Lightning! Stronger than the foundations of the earth. All shall love me and despair!"

- The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Book II, Chapter VII 'The Mirror of Galadriel'

8.

"He is one of the wandering folk -Rangers we call them. He seldom talks: not but what he can tell a rare tale when he has the mind. He disappears for a month, or a year, and then he pops up again. He was in and out pretty often last spring; but I haven't seen him about lately. What his right name is I've never heard: but he's known round here as Strider."

- The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Book I, Chapter IX 'At the Sign of The Prancing Pony'

A big THANK YOU to all of you!

Yup, I have creative blanks very often. How do you deal with it guys? Wish I knew...

I'll tell you this: many months ago I decided to highly improve my drawing skills with anatomy, posing, expressions, etcetera while looking at tutorials and drawing some ref photos. I kind of left the creative side apart, and a little time after thought it was time to get it back again. But sometimes I don't know where my creativity is when I need it. So, after a couple of months of doing useless doodles, I'm definitely in mood to make, at least, one little piece of artwork -if you can call it that way :)

Keeping up with some random updates, I saw Inception like a month ago -it was awesome, especially with JGL in it! and might see Despicable Me next week. I'm also busy filling up my home madequote book with nice little phrases -I'm a quite philosophical person, in case you didn't know- and listening A LOT of music: Neko Case, Wilco, Belle and Sebastian, and having a revival of The Smiths and The Clash (I haven't actually listened to them for almost a year. I've always been a big fan).

So, what about life? You can tell me if you want. Comments make me happy and I like replying them ;)
